Installing Palworld Mods

Palworld provides scripting/modding support for the server, so you can upload .pak files to your server to enhance your game play experience. Follow these steps to install mods on your Palworld server.

Take a backup!

Always take a backup before adding, editing, or removing any of your mods.

1. Download the .pak files for the mod you want to install.
2. Stop your server using the GCP.
3. Take a backup of your server!
4. Access the File Manager.
5. Go to the Pal/Content/Paks/~mods folder.
6. Upload the .pak file to that directory.
7. Start your server using the GCP.

Windows Support

Some mods or scripts that, particularly those that need the UE4SS scripting system, may not be compatible with Linux servers. We support running Windows servers, but you'll need to either select the option at checkout or open a ticket to have us change it for you.

We do not guarantee the transfer of save data when changing platforms.
